This Years Tournament ran simultaneously with the 2006 FIFA WORLD CUP. This allowed the players participating to not only enjoy the Pro Evo competition but also to capture the atmosphere of the world cup by watching it together at YCSA’s new youth wing. 40 entrants joined together on Friday June 16th to hear the draw and see who they would be competing against for the title of Pro Evo champ 2006. The draw was made and a few mouth watering ties were named. 8 Groups of 5 teams were made with the top 2 in each group progressing to the last 16 knockout stage. The knockout stages were two legged affairs with away goals counting so many tight games were witnessed. The quarter Final stage was played between the following players
Asim Rabbani (Teddy) v Atif Aziz
Adil Naseem (Eggy) v Adil Aziz
Zubair Malik (Zuby) v Haroon Ahmed (Harry)
Shabaz Mahmood (Rocky) v Saran
These games were extremely tight as can be expected with Zuby V Harry the pick of the bunch as Zuby came up against last years champ Harry. A very close game was witnessed but Zuby held on with Harry coming back into the game with a great second leg game

Eggy v Atif
Eggy and Zuby came through these semis and into the final to face one another. With the tension brewing and the majority of the support with Eggy, Zuby our own chairman could not defeat the resistant Eggy. Chances were squandered by Zuby at 2-1 down and Eggy broke away to kill the game off at 3-1. It was an entertaining final and a great overall tournament that took place over a period of 4 weeks. The winner eggy took away with him a brand new Sony PSP as well as the Tournament trophy but more importantly the title of PRO EVO 4 CHAMPION 2006!!
